2021 DEO Highlights
→ Our membership nearly doubled in size
We have had an incredible year of membership growth – 139 members joined DEO in 2022 – dentist entrepreneurs and dental leaders of some of the country’s most successful dental organizations! To date, we have nearly 300 members with over 1,500+ represented locations and $2.5B+ in combined revenue.

→ Acquisition of the DSO Secrets™ brand
The DEO’s acquired the DSO Secrets™ brand, including the #1 in group dentistry podcast – “DSO Secrets”, hosted by Emmet Scott and regular guest host Ken Kaufman; and the DSO Secrets Facebook group with nearly 5k members. We also welcomed Emmet and Ken on as DEO Partners. Emmet is CEO and co-founder and Ken is CFO, both of Community Dental Partners.
→ Powerful 2021 DEO Summits
The success of the 2021 DEO Virtual Summer Summit
The virtual Summer Summit in June received rave reviews. Keynote speaker Gary Vaynerchuk spoke to dentist-entrepreneurs for the first time. An NYT bestselling author and serial entrepreneur, Gary challenged attendees, sharing wisdom like this “hire fast, fire faster, promote fastest!.. give, give, give, and karma will kick in… humility is the key to scale” and more.
The 2021 DEO Fall Summit exceeded expectations
Our first live Summit in 2 years was even better than we planned. 700+ live attendees and 100+ online attendees gathered to learn from top dental leaders! Here’s just some of the incredible feedback: “I liked hearing real solutions to problems we are currently facing and hearing about how others overcame challenges and found success”; “Terrific event. Eye-opening and inspiring”.

→ DEO adds massive value
The DEO acquired Traction for Dental, the only Certified EOS® Implementation business focused on dental groups, and its sister company, joyFULL People, which offers an online curriculum for finding, managing, and growing millennial dental teams. We welcomed the cofounders of these businesses, Josey Sewell and Dr. Eric Roman as DEO Partners.
→ Our first book is an #1 Amazon Bestseller
“DSO Secrets: The Ultimate Guide to Building Your Dental Empire” by Emmet Scott was released last month and has become a #1 Amazon bestseller in the Dentistry, Dental Office Practice, and Dental Assisting categories and landed in the top 10 of the Entrepreneurship and Management categories.
