REMOTE Learning and Development Program Manager

This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week). The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000 annually, with a generous incentive program, comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k plan, company-paid short and long-term disability coverage, and paid time off. Role

The Learning & Development Program Manager (LDPM) will be responsible for working with the Director of Learning and Development to both manage and revise the virtual training and curriculum for the membership programs of the DEO. The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization (DEO) provides an impactful curriculum (training webinars, workshops, peer discussion, etc)  for Dental Entrepreneurs to help them grow themselves, their teams, and their businesses. The LDPM will manage the curriculum for the three membership programs that the DEO offers. This position will be coordinating with industry speakers for DEO training calls and workshops and helping build learning tools and resources. The LDPM will also be responsible for staying on top of what is trending within the membership programs and the industry at large and curating and creating resources to support hot topics, on-demand. The LDPM will not only manage the current program curriculum but also work with the Director of Learning and Development to help reshape and reimagine the learning content and offerings that DEO provides to the membership.

Responsibilities

  • Setting and managing the curriculum calendar for the three DEO programs
    • This includes expert webinars, workshops and peer discussions
  • Working with the Director of L&D to plan out the content for all programmatic curriculum
  • Facilitating internal discussion on speaker selection 
  • Communicating with all speakers and serving as the primary point of contact
  • Managing all speaker tasks and resources for all of the program’s training
  • Writing session descriptions and learning objectives for all virtual training
  • Curating and creating resources to support speakers for all virtual training
    • Slide decks, workbooks, one-pagers, how-to guides, etc.
  • Managing all hot topics and burning questions that arise in the membership programs
    • Consistently sourcing Facebook groups and internal communication for topics
  • Building a system to manage all hot topics and questions
  • Curating and creating learning content based on hot topics including how-to guides, video compilations, book recommendations, links to resources, etc. 
  • Coordinating training for internal DEO facilitators
  • Ensuring quality control and performance of all DEO programs virtual training calls
  • Collaborating with the Member Success team to ensure all content is aligned with the needs of the membership
  • Collaborating with the Member Success team to promote program curriculum
  • Developing measurements for program success (knowledge transfer, impact, attendance, etc)
  • Collaborating with the Director of Learning and Development to implement Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation to all training programs
  • Collaborating with the Director of Learning and Development to implement Bloom’s Taxonomy into all program curriculum learning objectives
  • Ensuring adherence to evaluation and taxonomy levels

Results:

  • This is a new position, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable with a degree of initial ambiguity and will take part in helping to build their own results-based metrics. Some initial metrics could be:
    • Increased awareness and visibility of the DEO Growth Model
    • Increased attendance at Program Training Events
    • Net Promoter Score (NPS) for all Program Training Events
    • Measurement of knowledge transfer based on Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation
    • Post-training follow up surveys show the application of learning and ROI
    • Program calendar set and communicated 90 days in advance
    • Increase in traffic to the DEO member portal

Requirements:

  • Experience managing learning programs or membership programs is preferred
  • Experience working with adult learners is preferred
  • Passionate about learning and training – teaching experience is a plus
  • Able to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time
  • Highly organized and dedicated follow-through 
  • Open-minded and growth-oriented – enjoys new things and being challenged 
  • Enjoys working in collaboration with a team and also highly motivated to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – this position will be corresponding with people constantly
  • Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating large and small groups
  • Very technology savvy and comfortable using programs such as: Google Suite, Powerpoint, Excel, Loom, Asana, Wistia, Canva, etc.
