REMOTE Learning and Development Event Coordinator
This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week). The salary range for this position is $40,000 – $50,000 annually, with a generous incentive program, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k plan, company-paid short and long-term disability coverage, and paid time off. Role
The Learning & Development Events Coordinator (LDEC) will be responsible for working with the Director of Learning and Development to curate and support all curriculum for the six unique events that DEO hosts annually along with any industry events that DEO supports. The LDEC would be responsible for managing the event schedule from a content perspective to ensure an impactful flow and content integration to the DEO Growth Model. This position will set the speaker schedule and will be the primary point of contact in sourcing and collaborating with speakers to fulfill even objectives. The LDEC will work closely with the Director of Learning and Development to set learning objectives and session descriptions for all events. The LDEC will have a direct impact on the DEO membership and Member Success Team by providing relevant and engaging content that addresses concerns and pain points within the membership to help them grow. This position will focus solely on event curriculum, not event logistics such as location, vendors, technology, etc.
Responsibilities
- Setting and managing the event content agenda for DEO Summits, Immersion Intensive and Elite Intensive events
- Facilitating internal discussion on speaker selection for all events
- Working with the Member Success Team and Director of Learning and DEvelopment to source speakers from inside and outside of the dental industry
- Communicating with all speakers and serving as the primary point of contact
- Managing all speaker tasks and resources for all events
- Writing session descriptions and learning objective for all events
- Curating and creating resources to support speakers for all events
- Slide decks, workbooks, one-pagers, how-to guides, etc.
- Coordinating training for internal event speakers and facilitators
- Ensuring quality control and performance of all DEO event speakers and sessions
- Collaborating with the Member Success team to ensure all content is aligned with the needs of the membership
- Collaborating with the Member Success team to promote event curriculum
- Developing measurements for event success (knowledge transfer, impact, attendance, etc)
- Collaborating with the Director of Learning and Development to implement Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation to all event sessions
- Collaborating with the Director of Learning and Development to implement Bloom’s Taxonomy into all event curriculum learning objectives
- Ensuring adherence to evaluation and taxonomy levels
Results:
- This is a new position, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable with a degree of initial ambiguity and will take part in helping to build their own results-based metrics. Some initial metrics could be:
- Increased awareness and visibility of the DEO Growth Model
- Increased attendance at all DEO events
- Net Promoter Score (NPS) for all events
- Measurement of knowledge transfer based on Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation
- Post-training follow up surveys show the application of learning and ROI
- Event agenda set and communicated 5 months days in advance
Requirements:
- Experience working with event content or managing learning programs
- Experience working with adult learners is preferred
- Passionate about learning and training – teaching experience is a plus
- Able to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time
- Highly organized and dedicated follow-through
- Open-minded and growth-oriented – enjoys new things and being challenged
- Enjoys working in collaboration with a team and also highly motivated to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – this position will be corresponding with people constantly
- Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating large and small groups
- Very technology savvy and comfortable using programs such as: Google Suite, Powerpoint, Excel, Loom, Asana, Wistia, Canva, etc.
