What’s Included: A Closer Look

Your Small Group

Your DEO experience will start with being placed in a small group (8-12) of other DEO Dentists starting at the same time as you. You will go through your entire 1st year experience with this group of individuals. They will get to know you and you will get to know them, all to build your support network and learn from others in your same position.

In Person Sessions

The first year of your DEO experience will take you through the crucial process of building your vision as the leader of your new organization. You will start with your big “Why”, and build from there. You will learn how to manage your team in an effective way (not to be confused with ‘leading’ them, and then how to cultivate the self awareness needed to transform your business from ‘good to great’.

In Person Meeting: Session 1 - Leadership (2 days)

Without powerful leadership, any vision, mission, or purpose will not be fulfilled.  Without leadership, management is impotent. Without leadership, the culture is rife with clicks, bureaucracy and politics.  Without strong leadership, the future as intended will not happen. Leadership is quintessential for success.

In session 1, using our proprietary methods and models, DEO participants will become powerful leaders.  They will be able to generate strong leadership at will. In essence they will possess the skill-set and mindset to access commanding leadership when needed.

In session 1, DEO participants will generate the foundational pieces for a strong strategic plan and lay the groundwork for a high performance culture.

In Person Meeting: Session 2 - Management (2 days)

This session is done with your key staff and senior executives.  This session is about building and sustaining a high-performance culture.  Given that culture is “king,” being able to generate a high-performance culture, many things improve – relationships, performance, well-being, loyalty, retention, peace, harmony, commitment, reduced issues and problems and the list goes on.

The key to a high-performance culture occurs in the communication that happens in the enterprise. Part of this session will be focused on communication, communication that incites effective action and therefore results, reduces problems and breakdowns, increases responsibility, and improves morale and efficiency.

In Person Meeting: Session 3 - Self Awareness (2 days)

In session 3, DEO participants will gain a significant step in their ability to respond powerfully and effectively by a deep understanding of themselves. Self-awareness is fundamental to being a powerful leader.

When you are self-aware, you understand your strengths and weaknesses, your their trigger points, and why and how you react the way you do.  When you are self-aware, you stop taking on other peoples’ emotional baggage. When you are self-aware, you are able to regulate, and avoid the stimulus – response reaction. Being self-are you become very conscious, mindful, watchful, attentive of yourself and others.

another’s accountabilities and performance.  That is what coaching is all about.

Coaches are not counselors, psychotherapists, gurus, teachers, trainers, or consultants – although they may use some of the same skills and tools. Coaching is unique.

Coaching is a powerful way of developing people’s skills and abilities, and of directly boosting their performance. It can also help deal with issues and challenges before they become major problems.

Sessions in Year 2 will consist of training and development program on how to be a highly effective coach.  The capacity to coach others to perform at their highest level, to go above and beyond, to be wholly responsible and accountable, is quintessential for optimum success.
