Many folks come to The DEO wanting quick “how-to’s” to building a dental group — how to decide which software to use; how to form a DSO; how to improve profitability; how to maximize their exit multiple; how to create systems across unconnected offices; and so on.
However, the trend we see is that dentists and executives growing groups quickly realize one thing: It’s about PEOPLE. Dentistry is a people business, more so than most other businesses.
The real questions you should be asking are: How do I develop leaders in my organization? How do I create an atmosphere where team members are empowered to make decisions, and fully “buy in” to the vision? How can my executive team and my associates maximize their potential to reach our goals, and to grow?
This coming week, DEO Members will focus on the heart of every growing dental group: the people and the team. The importance of focusing on people before processes cannot be overstated.
DEO Members will gather in Nashville from February 21-23 for a SOLD OUT Private DEO Member event: “Turn the Team Around,” where they’ll learn the HR keys for building a “leader-driven” dental group. In a dynamic, open-minded, peer-to-peer learning environment, participants will be energized and inspired by speakers David Marquet and Cheryl Penava, and a peer panel of of HR directors.
